In the first trial, the man was sentenced to six months prison. Now, the case is due to go to the appeals court.
At the start of the appeal trial on Wednesday, the prosecutor confirmed the request to keep the defendant's sentence at six months full prison.
The man was sentenced to prison for having threatened paramedics. In May 2017 in Differdange, he called the paramedics to his apartment and then forced them to stay there for nearly three and a half hours under duress.
In July, the court sentenced him to six months in prison, provided the emergency services with a symbolic euro in damages, and confirmed that the three paramedics would receive €1,300 in damages.
The appeals court verdict will take place on 30 January.
