According to the economic pages of Saturday’s Luxembourger Wort, Luxembourg's space exploration and exploitation corporation Saam sarl sold their share at a symbolic price.
In 2016, the SNCI (national credit and investment institute) invested 12 million euros directly into Planetary Resources.
The aim was that the Luxembourgish investment in the US company would facilitate research in space mining. However, for to a number of reasons, the numbers stayed in the red and no more jobs were created.
On Wednesday news came through that a US company, ConsenSys, which specialises in Blockchain and crypto-currencies, would purchase SNCI and Saam sarl's stake.
