A car on fire on Wednesday afternoon has led to the A13 motorway towards Pétange being closed until further notice.

According to the ACL, the motorway was closed just before 4.40pm. The cause of the closure is a car on fire between Mondorf and Altwies.

One lane has been reopened to traffic in this direction and firefighters are at the scene.

We have no further information concerning potential injuries at this stage.
