The draft regulation is currently in front of the state council, but it is expected to come into force in time for the hunting season 2019/2020.

A representative of the Ministry for the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development told "Aktionsb├╝ndnis Fuchs" (action alliance for foxes) that the government is working on a draft regulation for the hunting season 2019/2020 to keep the fox hunting ban active for another year.

Should the draft regulation go through, which it is expected to, it would be the fifth year in a row that Luxembourg has an active ban on fox hunting.

The draft regulation is currently in front of the state council and it is expected to come into force on 1 April.
