The "Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner" (Foundation for Children with Cancer) published its report on its work in 2018.

The foundation has existed for 30 years and in its latest year, it supported 199 families who have a child diagnosed with cancer or a rare illness. In 2018, there were 19 new diagnoses and three children died as a result of the disease throughout the year.

The foundation is looking ahead to a large-scale project this year, which is the second national cancer action plan. The foundation is helping the government create the plan all while its headquarters in Strassen is being renovated.

Even though the building is being renovated, the foundation's employees do not have to work amongst the dust and noise. Instead, the Strassen municipal authorities have offered the foundation an interim building.

The renovation's aim is to make the foundation's work more professional and efficient. The cost of the works is covered by sponsors rather than donations.
