A severe car crash occurred on Thursday morning close to the speed camera on the N28 near Oetrange.

Two cars crashed into each other between Oetrange and Bous near a stationary speed camera. One person was trapped in his car and had to be extracted.

The female driver of the first car seems to have lost control on a straight road, after a curve to the right and a few dozen metres after the speed radar. Her car ended up hitting a tree before winding up partially on the road, where it was hit by a car driven by a couple behind her.

The female driver has been taken to the hospital. The two other persons involved were not injured. Rescue personnel from Moutfort, Remich, Niederanven and Schuttrange attended the scene, as well as Remich ambulance and Luxembourg police.

The road reopened just before 10.30am. Traffic jams are expected in the area.
