Putting aside the prosecution's case, the court of appeals upheld the lower, first instance court's sentence in a case involving a large drug operation.

The three defendants will be sent to prison for between 2 and 6 years and pay fines of between €1,500 and €20,000. The prosecution had argued for a longer prison sentence of between 3 and 8 years.

The first trial saw a total of 7 people in the defendant's box and eventually convicted.

The primary defendant stood accused of selling a couple of kilogrammes of cocaine to his co-defendants between June 2015 and December 2016. The drugs came from the Netherlands, but were stored temporarily in Liège, Belgium before being brought to the Grand Duchy.
