Our new RTL widgets feature our headlines, and update automatically as new stories are published throughout the day.
RTL.lu (in Luxemburgish), RTL 5minutes.lu (in French) and RTL Today (in English) now have their own widgets for iOS 14. These new widgets serve you with timely information from your favourite RTL apps at a glance.
What’s the purpose of this feature?
The main purpose of a widget is to display often used functions – like your favourite RTL apps – which you can trigger right from the home screen, without having to open the apps first. Think of it as remote control for your RTL apps.
Add the RTL widgets to your home screen
- From the home screen, touch and hold a widget or an empty area until the apps jiggle.
- Tap the "Add button > +" in the upper-left corner.
- Select the RTL Today widget, choose from three widget sizes, then tap "Add Widget".
- Tap "Done".
Once you've installed the RTL widgets to your home screen (iPhone or iPad running iOS 14 or later), you'll see RTL's headlines, which are automatically refreshed as new content is published. You're all set, and you've now got the latest news and information at your fingertips!
