30 September marks International Podcast Day, and RTL Today have got you covered.
Podcasts have exploded in popularity in recent years. The term was only invented in 2004, and podcasts only started to become a cultural phenomenon in 2014 with the launch of Serial, a true-crime podcast which garnered hundreds of thousands of listeners.
Since then, the podcasting world has seen a meteoric rise.
22% of the American population, and 12.5% of Britons, listen to podcasts at least once a week, with 168 million Americans (51%) saying they have listened to a podcast at least once in their life.
In South Korea, a staggering 58% of people have listened to a podcast in the last month, with 40% doing so in Spain.
Overall, it's estimated that there are some 900,000 podcasts in existence, and we at RTL Today are keen to join in the fun.
In Conversation explores topics relating to life in the Grand Duchy, and the latest episode is on the impact of Brexit on UK university fees for EU students.
That's not all for RTL Today, though. There are also (unconfirmed) rumours of a new podcast on Luxembourg history coming out soon...
So stay tuned, and have a happy International Podcast Day!
