Mama Shelter, Luxembourg

Tried and tested by Luxembourg families, Mama Shelter's family friendly brunch comes highly recommended. The restaurant itself is stunning to look at, with its bright, fun design, and the hotel regularly holds special themed brunches with children's entertainers, films, and music.

T’Chiz Belval, Luxembourg

The restaurant organises Sunday brunches that include the presence of an animator to entertain the children.

Although events may not be regular, you can always keep an eye on the website for news on family friendly brunches.

Van der Valk Hotel, Arlon, Belgium

The Hotel Van der Valk in Arlon organises great themed family brunches that include a creative corner for children and face painting.

TravelmatKanner attended the Special Edition Christmas Sweater Brunch and the impressions were really good. The ambience was beautiful, there was great food, and of course amazing service by the hotel staff.

The children also loved the food, with popcorn served in beautiful paper bags, and of course the face painting, which was indeed state of the art.

We are looking forward to seeing what is coming up next at Van der Valk Hotel Arlon as it seems that the hotel is introducing new concepts, including a new indoor surfing facility that in a few years will be open for the general public.

Mapita Atelier, Cafe and Creative shop, Köln, Germany

Although this creative café, which regularly offers workshops, DIY, arts and crafts, and handmade products, does not list any specific activities for kids, it is a great place for older children.

Perfect for parents and teenagers, you get the chance to have a coffee at this tiny café with just two small tables.

Food is also offered, with organic and vegan options as well.

It is the initiative of a mother and daughter and I personally love this concept as it seems a great place to unwind and create something new.

Grune Neune, Sankt Ingbert, Saarland Germany

The Grüne Neune, a creative café not far from Saarbrücken, offers workshops, ceramics, arts and crafts, and has a spacious play area for the children. The menu is packed with delicious homemade goods, and once you've eaten your fill, you could also visit Sankt Ingbert's delightful water playground - perfect for a sunny day out!
