1. Go for a last ice skate this season

The Kockelscheuer ice rink is closing for the summer (although given current temperatures they should consider staying open a little longer...) and are inviting for "one last skate" this Friday. The rink is open til 10.30pm, with several DJs spinning the hottest, uhm, chilliest tunes. Ticket prices remain the same as usual (€3-€5 entry + rental). Happy skating!

2. Hear jazz icon Dianne Reeves

Dianne Reeves, one of the most virtuous jazz singers of our current time, is playing the Philharmonie's Grand Auditorium this Friday. She is accompanied by a killer band that are musical legends in their own right. For lovers of jazz, soul and R'n'B, this is absolutely not to be missed.

3. Get stuffed at food truck festival

It's hard to miss Luxembourg's vast quantity of food trucks. They're often parked outside offices during lunch hours but now and then all come together for a big food festival on wheels. Whether you're a meat or veggie lover, looking for Asian or American flavours, more gourmand or relaxed dishes, you'll find something for all tastes at Eat it! It's known to get really packed, so better plan in an early lunch (or at least some queueing).

4. Go plogging in Rodange

Ever heard of plogging before? It's a combination of jogging and picking up trash (that's actually some really intense exercise). ​The Environmental Commission of the municipality of Petange, in collaboration with the local athletics union, is inviting all runners, hikers and dog walkers for a 6km trail whereby participants pick up trash around the area. Departure (9am) and arrival is at the Rodange sports hall (10-11am). Join in cleaning up the community!
