1. See The Ferocious Few EP Release

Two years after arriving in Luxembourg with a backpack and a guitar, the band around Francisco Fernandez holds their EP release at Rockhal this Friday, 17 February. Expect a powerful Americana Punk Rock sound by this man, accompanied by drums, who has also DIY toured Europe over the last months. All paid entries will receive the EP on 10” Vinyl!
2. Go on carnival pub crawl

Luxembourg may not be the centre of the universe when it comes to carnival (Cologne, Maastricht and Rio come to mind), but there's still a wonderful pub crawl happening in town! A guide will take you through Shamrock Pub, Rocksolid and Rocas bar before ending in the Apoteca club. Free shots are given with every drink purchase, and admission to Apoteca is free. Meet at Shamrock Pub at 8pm, but you can always join the group at another bar later. And put on your best costume!

3. Trace the old mining train tracks
What: The hard workers

Explore the old route of the mining train which transported iron ore from deep under the ground to the steelworks. On this tour, the guide will show you the collapsed galleries as well as the remains of the old extraction shaft of the Ellergrund mine. Registration is required in advance (ellergronn@anf.etat.lu or 247 56 516).

4. Hear KT Tunstall
What: Awesome singer-songwriter

The mighty KT Tunstall is back in town on Sunday. Since scoring a worldwide smash with her debut album ‘Eye To The Telescope’ in 2004, which went on to sell over 5 million copies, KT Tunstall has remained at the forefront of UK singer- songwriter talent.
5. Watch Plane

Your editor just came out of the cinema from this one, and what a joy it was to watch. Pilot Brodie Torrance saves passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island, only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. When dangerous rebels take most of the passengers hostage, the only person Torrance can count on for help is Louis Gaspare, an accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI.
6. Celebrate carnival in Diekirch

The famous Diekirch carnival parade kicks off at 2.30pm on Sunday! Make sure to be there early to grab a spot close to the route, where local organisations will show off their outfits and have plenty of sugary treats to hand out.

7. Create your own ceramics
What: 3-hour workshop

Create your own ceramics in this fun and relaxed workshop for all ages. Draw and paint anything you like, and the organiser takes care of the glazing in Trier the week after. Then, pick it up, and it's all yours!
