1. Hear European jazz at RESET

The Reset Jazz Festival is a not-to-be-missed event for all jazz music lovers: Rising stars and established artists from Belgium, France, Germany, Turkey, Portugal and Russia are accompanied by Luxembourgish guitarist Greg Lamy. Across several days, the musicians compose and connect, presenting their artistic encounters with the public across three evenings. Friday is dedicated to duos/trios, Saturday to solo performances, and Sunday a full-band performance.

2. Taste wine at Salon des vins

The independent winemaking federation of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France is bringing 35 French wine exhibitors to Luxembourg's capital to showcase the best products of their region. So there are lots of characteristics and flavours to be sampled! Each visitor is offered a tasting glass, and there is also plenty of on-site catering (foie gras, sausage, cheese, oysters etc.) A real French day!

3. See modernised A Midsummer Night's Dream

A Midsummer Night's Dream is Shakespeare's comic tale of two couples of lovers, fairies, elves and a troupe of amateur comedians rehearsing a play for the Prince's wedding, contrasting a dreamy, fantasy world with the real, rigid and conservative routines of everyday life. In this post-pandemic recreation, director Myriam Muller presents a modernised version rich in public participation, circus and dance. This play is in French.

4. Hear Bartleby Delicate

Normally known as a solo artist, Bartleby Delicate will gather a band around him for a unique concert experience in Rotondes’ Grande Salle on the occasion of his new vinyl release. The loop-oriented songs of Bartleby Delicate find a new life in full band versions written for a concert at the Philharmonie in 2022. The live recording is now released on vinyl, for which the songwriter has invited his band of friends once again. For fans of Big Thief and Sufjan Stevens.

5. Watch Edward Scissorhands

Edward, a synthetic man with scissor hands played by Johnny Depp, is taken in by Peg, a kindly Avon lady, after the passing of his inventor. Things take a turn for the worse when he is blamed for a crime he did not commit...

6. Attend Cringe Comedy Festival

Local comedy organisation Luxembourg Comedy is hosting the The First Luxembourg Cringe Comedy Festival! Spread out across the next two months, each one of the four evenings has a different theme: Saturday's theme is ‘The Intellects’, described as nerdy comedy, followed by ‘The Nasties’ and ‘The Ladies’ in the next weeks. All events take place at Updown Bar in the Grund. Grab your tickets online, pop in early with a drink and getting those laughing muscles shaking!

7. Attend crafting workshops in Niederanven
