1. Get tickets to Cirque Du Lux

The annual circus show on the Glacis is back for a run of shows throughout Christmas and early January. See acrobats in action on both the stage and in the air, watch their incredible costumes and skill and be charmed by the state lighting and sound effects. This year's programme is titled UKRAINE UNITED, with the circus tent lit up in blue and yellow.

2. Just improvise with The Garage Gang

After several sold out shows this year The Garage Gang are back with a special festive improv show to round off 2022! Armed only with their own charm, this gang of five improvisers will create stories while competing in absurd challenges all the while making it all up on the spot. There's plenty of laughs guaranteed, because as is the case with improvisation shows, things can always go both ways...

This show will be holiday themed, so the group (made up of Claudia Macedonio, Dan Belkin, Dani Sierra, Melissa Dalton and Marc Pinto) will accept all sorts of Christmas/Hanukkah suggestions and create hilarious stories on the spot in front of your eyes. The evening is in English and there is a bar too. Booking in advance is recommended.

3. Hear Disney Fantasia live in concert

Released in 1940, what had begun as a vehicle to enhance Mickey Mouse's career blossomed into a full-blown feature that remains unique in the history of animation: Fantasia. Together with Ernst van Tiel, the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra brings the film's soundtrack to life. The full film will be shown on 16 December, with a family-friendly short version screened in the afternoon of 17 December.

4. Shop treats at vegan Christmas market

Looking for some delicious vegan treats or gifts for under the Christmas tree? The Vegan Society Luxembourg is pleased to invite you to its 7th vegan Christmas market with over 30 stands. Not only will there be plenty to snack, but expect a joyful atmosphere with music and children's animations - Santa will also be present between 2-4pm!

5. See poster exhibition

Posters bear witness to social changes, prevailing tastes and mentalities. Despite digital mass media, the poster remains part of the public space and our collective visual memory. This exhibition provides an insight into the Luxembourg City Museum’s poster collection, comprising around 2,500 pieces from the fields of politics, administration, culture or advertising. At the same time, it illustrates the development of Luxembourg and international graphic design during the 20th century. For example, check out this poster below from the City Tourism Office by Gleis.

6. Watch Avatar: The Way of Water

Every Sunday, Neimenster hosts a lovely apero jazz concert, which really is an excellent way to kick off part two to your weekend. For the last time this season, the Funkyfying Project takes you back to the 80s with a smashing set of Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power and Earth, Wind & Fire. Get funky, the hour don't matter!
