2. Get tickets to Echter'World Festival
Echter'World at Trifolion Echternach brings several international acts in the world music realm to this country. On Saturday, Portuguese jazz-pop singer Luísa Sobral takes to the stage alongside Spanish trombone player and singer Rita Payés. The fadista Mísia will be performing on Sunday. Tickets are available for single days now.
3. Join the human solidarity chain
As part of Orange Week 2022, which aims to combat violence against women and girls, the City of Luxembourg invites the public to form an "orange chain" in front of the Town Hall on Place Guillaume II at noon on Friday. It is part of various other events raising awareness on the matter, including screenings and orange-lit municipal buildings.
4. Attend immersive live gig
With Synaesthesia, multimedia artist Émile V. Schlesser has teamed up with jazz trio Reis-Demuth-Wiltgen to develop a unique immersive jazz concert: A walk-in installation featuring holographic 360-degree video projection alongside live music. By translating music into colour, shape and movements, the four artists perform a crossover between multiple art forms. A real experience for all senses.
5. Do science experiments at Rockhal
On Saturday, the Rockhal will transform into a huge research lab where children and adults can get involved in experiments, meet researchers and have plenty of science fun. Create your own Snapchat filter, teach a robot dog tricks, make bioplastics, detect viruses, programme robots...and much more!
6. Watch Pulp Fiction
In the realm of underworld, a series of incidents intertwines the lives of two Los Angeles mobsters, a gangster's wife, a boxer and two small-time criminals. A real Quentin Tarantino classic, back on the big screen for one night only.
7. See World Cup of cooking
There are two World Cups happening at the moment. One's in Qatar, the other is in Luxembourg. This weekend, chefs from around the world are honouring the art of cooking. An intense 5-day programme is provided by promising chefs, 5 star protagonists and fascinating dishes worthy of the most prestigious restaurants. Uniquely placed for specialists, this culinary event will delight its guests with a festive atmosphere, innovative cuisine and exciting gastronomic competitions. Come on an empty stomach...
