Welcome to the weekend! Jump on new rides at Schueberfouer, hear Grace Cummings' incredible voice, watch a Brad Pitt film or take a guided night walk.
1. Go wild at Schueberfouer
The Schueberfouer is back in town! It first opened in 1340 (although the bumper cars back then must have consisted of riding sheep) and remains the biggest annual fun fair in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. Everything is opened every day between 12pm-1am, with dozens of food and drink stands, kids entertainment and some epic rides. What's your favourite attraction?

2. Enjoy local author and singer with picnic
What: Luxembourgish storytelling
Where: Nature Reserve Haard, Waldweg, Dudelange - Google Maps
When: Sunday, 21 August at 5.45pm - info & tickets
The Acoustic Picnics in Dudelange's Haard park are quite something. With its unplugged programming, artists in the field of dance, music, literature or even meditation come together, presenting an event to guests who get to enjoy a local and regional picnic (although tickets without the food pairing are also sold). This week, Luxembourg author Jemp Schuster reads from his books Blutsëffer and Ouereschlëffer, and music is provided by pop-jazz singer Claire Parsons. Note: Picnic reservations must be made at least 30 hours before the event.
3. Hear Grace Cummings at Rotondes
A "soon-to-be-iconic voice" (Rolling Stone), Grace Cummings is a contemporary folk musician from Melbourne, Australia. Her songwriting is influenced by 20th century poets and luminaries, from Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan to Brett Whitely and Van Gogh, reflecting a strong connection to the Australian landscape. Her voice is truly stunning.
4. Take a tour of the Philharmonie
The Philharmonie invites you to guided tours that lead beyond the areas usually accessible to the public. Learn about the building's architecture, see the different concert rooms, sneak backstage and, if you're lucky, catch a glimpse of a rehearsal. The languages of the guided tours are announced beforehand, but they may also be adapted to visitors’ needs at the beginning of the tour.
5. Watch Bullet Train
Ladybug is an unlucky assassin who's determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs has gone off the rails. Fate, however, may have other plans as his latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe -- all with connected yet conflicting objectives -- on the world's fastest train.
6. Take a horse cart tour of Echternach
The municipality of Echternach is organising guided tours of the old town in a horse-drawn cart. The tour is completely free, but prior registration is required via email@example.com or by calling +352 720 230. It takes place twice this month, once on Friday and on Friday next week.
