Where to get your drink
The great thing about National Day is that the city itself becomes one big open-air party, so you're bound to find your booze and your good old Luxembourgish sausage in every corner of the city!
If you're in Kirchberg, why not go and have a look at some gigs organized by De Gudde Wëllen which start at 5:00 pm.
Check out this link for more info on the event.
If you prefer Place Guillaume, also known as Knuedler, why not go have a look at Beim Renert where you can get yours truly a “Wupp” (Luxembourgish sausage) while listening to some beats from 3:00 pm onward.
Thursday June 23rd
Military parade and Te Deum
The traditional Military parade will take place on the Avenue de la Liberté at 12:00 pm. The Te Deum church service in the presence of the royal family, will be held at 4:30 pm at the Cathedral in Luxembourg city.
For families and kids
For families looking to spend some fun time with their kids, there will be a “Play Day” organized by The Creative Learning Centre of the Childcare Department from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at the municipal park, Kinnekswiss. With over 100 games and different workshops to choose from, the kiddies are bound to find something that will make them happy and for the parents- don't worry, food and drink stands can be found on site!
The admission to this event is free of charge!
