1. Rock out at USINA22 festival

This two-day open-air festival curated by a handful of Luxembourg's music venues and cultural institutions is taking place at Neischmelz this weekend. Saturday's show is with paid entrance, but gets you megastars Kings of Leon, Caribou, The Mysterines and more. Sunday's show is free and includes Alice Merton, JOSH. (Fools Garden had to cancel due to a Covid case), Siegfried & Joy and others. A fantastic weekend filled with international and local music - check out the full programme here.

2. Go back in time at medieval fest

What: Workshops, music, food and fighting

The famous medieval fest in Useldange is back! Reinventing history, participants dress up in medieval clothing, set up workshop spaces, showcasing the techniques that were used hundreds of years ago. There is medieval music, plenty to eat and drink, face painting for kids, glas blowing, large fires and also some sword fighting action. A very child-friendly event as well.

3. Hear Maxime Bender at Philharmonie

Maxime Bender is one of Luxembourg's finest saxophone players, involved in countless projects and taking to stages with some big jazz cats. This Saturday he's on the Philharmonie's Chamber stage with Joachim Kühn, Stéphane Kerecki and Daniel Humair. A must see for all jazz lovers.

4. See charity polo tournament

What: Order of Malta fundraiser

The Roude Leiw Polo Club is hosting the first ever Fundraising Polo Tournament for the Order of Malta Luxembourg, which aims to raise money for people in Luxembourg without a home or who require medical attention. All proceeds from the tournament will go to the Order. Join the teams for two days of fun games, and while entrance is free, attendees can partake in a tombola, a silent auction, food and drinks.

5. Watch Top Gun: Maverick

Could we possibly write up a list of must-see movies without mentioning this one? Impossible. Top Gun: Maverick is one of the biggest blockbuster releases of the last decade, an action thriller of serious quality. After more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy's top aviators, Pete "Maverick" Mitchell (played by Tom Cruise) is back to train a new generation of fighter pilots. But the ways of combat have significantly changed, and Maverick is put to the test. Just let the trailer do the talking...

6. Play 17 pianos across Luxembourg City

As part of My Urban Piano, public pianos are set up all over the city: anyone can sit down and play a tune. The aim is to encourage people to gather around the pianos to make and enjoy music together. As there are 17 of them, out in the open until next week, why not find all of them this weekend? 7. Celebrate all things bikes

The Bike Festival Luxembourg 2022 is here this weekend, for all lovers of the two-wheeler. There's a full programme of races, exhibitions and challenges programmed, as well as bike sale opportunities, and food and beverages dotted along the festival site. Register in advance to participate in the contests (jumps, races and more), or just pop by as a visitor.
