Indeed, Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria.

Sofia is also the largest city in Bulgaria. You might be a bit challenged when it comes to historical references – We tend to associate “Liberation” with World War II, whereas here Liberation refers to freedom from the Ottoman empire, which historical presence perspires throughout the city. Byzantine constructions and Orthodox churches are great witnesses of this age.
