Princess Claire was born 21 March 1985 in Filderstad, Germany.

The second child of Hartmut and Gabriele Lademacher, Princess Claire emigrated to Atlanta, USA, at the age of 11 with her family.

In 1999 she returned to Germany, and later studied International Communications in Paris.

In December 2012, Prince Félix and Princess Claire announced their engagement in Luxembourg.

They married on 21 September 2013, and welcomed their first child, Amalia Gabriela Maria Teresa, on 15 June 2014.

The couple's second child, Prince Liam Henri Hartmut, on 28 November 2016.
