The mass, held at Luxembourg City's cathedral by archbishop Jean-Claude Hollerich, was open to the public.

It has been six weeks since Grand Duke Jean's funeral. This Saturday, the six week ceremony took place at the cathedral in Luxembourg City. A six week mass is traditionally held six weeks after someone's passing. As the mass was open to the public, Luxembourgers had the chance to say goodbye to and honour Grand Duke Jean once again.

The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess were both present, as well as Princess Marie-Astrid and Margaretha, Prince Jean, and the Grand Duke's grandchildren. Representatives of the Grand Ducal Court and Grand Duke Jean's former personnel were also present.
