The Duchess of Sussex has celebrated her first US Mother's Day with an adorable picture of Baby Archie on Instagram.

In the picture, the new mum holds baby Archie in front of Forget-Me-Not flowers in the garden of her Windsor home. The choice of flowers is symbolic and pays tribute to Princess Diana, who was known to adore Forget-Me-Nots.

The rest of the touching photo caption may also subtly allude to Diana: "Paying tribute to all mothers today - past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered."

This Sunday it is Mother's Day in the US, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Kenya, Japan and several European countries.

Meghan reportedly spends the day with her own mother - and baby Archie of course.
