IDAHOBIT stands for 'International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia'.

Launched in 2004, IDAHOBIT is celebrated on 17 May every year. That particular date was chosen as it was on 17 May 1990 that the WHO and WHA approved the international statistical classification of diseases and related health problems (ICD10), which no longer listed homosexuality as a diagnosis.
