What's going down - Irish Embassy Information
Naturally our first call for information on what's happening on St Patrick's Day was to the Embassy of Ireland in Luxembourg, and they did not disappoint. They've recently sent out a newsletter (also published on Facebook, as per below) with details on lots of events, and for ease of reading we'll reprint parts of it here.
"Thursday, 14 March 2019 – Greening of Town Hall in Luxembourg City By now it has become a tradition that the Hotel de Ville on the Place Guillaume II in Luxembourg City takes part in the worldwide "Greenings" around St Patrick's Day. On this occasion we again wish to express our sincere gratitude to the Commune of Luxembourg City for their continued support.

Saturday 16 March 2019 - Feast of St Patrick at the St Alphonse Church
This year, the International English-Speaking Community of the Parish of Luxembourg Notre Dame will be celebrating St Patrick in 3 ways, all closely linked: a procession from the "Gëlle Fra" (the golden statue opposite the cathedral), led by a piper, to the church of St Alphonse; a Mass with Irish cultural references; then a feast celebrating both Irish and Luxembourgish products at the back of the church.
Assemble at the "Gëlle Fra" at 10:40 for the procession to the church, Saturday 16th March. Mass at 11:00 and Feast in the church, 11:45-ish.
