The Christmas market will be open from 22 November through December and will only close in January. Apart from the market, there will be a number of concerts and exhibitions.
While Luxembourg City is a beauty to behold throughout the year, it becomes downright magical around Christmas time.
At the Winterlights 2018 Christmas market visitors will get to see the wintry season form its prettiest side over the course of a month and a half.
On Thursday and Friday, the usual Christmas markets are set to open.
The ice skating rink will open on Thursday at Place Guillaume II (Knuedler), while market stalls on Place d'Armes and in front of the Golden Lady will open their shop windows on Friday.
A new market will open on Luxembourg City's Place du Théâtre next week.

Around 200 events will take place over the course of Winterlights 2018, ranging from theatre to concerts and even a special Christmas programme at the Cinématheque.
From 30 November to 16 December, there will even be a Advent circus on Glacis!
In case you haven't finished your Christmas shopping yet, now need to worry. Shops will be open every Sunday until Christmas.
On 2 December, Santa Claus (Kleeschen) and his little helpers will parade through the streets of Luxembourg, from the Gare area to the city centre.
