The winning Euro Millions numbers from Friday 1 January were: 16 / 28 / 32 / 44 / 48 with stars 1 and 9.
New Year's Day saw the Euro Million jackpot being won by one lucky ticker holder, who got all of the numbers and both star numbers right, thus pocketing a the tidy sum of €44,958,140.
A further eight people got the five numbers and one start right, which won them €109,750.60.
The next draw will be on 5 January, and feature a jackpot of €17 million.
