According to a new study swigging mouthwash can prevent exercise from lowering your blood pressure as it normally does.

Exercise lowers our blood pressure, in part by getting our bodies to produce nitric oxide, which opens and dilates blood vessels. Our blood pressure remains lower for hours through a phenomenon known as post-exercise hypotension.

Researchers found when people swigged mouthwash post-workout, their blood pressure didn't see the full benefit of the workout.

According to Gizmodo, the study adds to evidence that our oral health is more connected to our lives than we think.
