Eight other people in the "haute cuisine" catering and restaurant business in Luxembourg were awarded similar honours.
The new Gault&Millau restaurant guide for Belgium and Luxembourg will be out in early November.
The "chef of the year" received his award on Monday: Roberto Fani, owner of the restaurant "Fani" in Roeser, now holds the title in the Grand Duchy.

- René Mathieu (La Distillerie): Culinary Innovators Restaurant Philosophy Award 2018
- Anthony Masson (Ma Langue Sourit): Sommelier of the year
- Jennifer Murgia-Radelet (Restaurant Yves Radelet): Hostess of the year
- Claude Magnin (Postkutsch): Clin d'œil of the year
- Hannes Graurock (Le Luxembourg): Discovery of the year
- Jean Kircher, founder and owner of the "Pains & tradition" in Bascharage: Personality of the year
14 Luxembourg restaurants are listed on the website www.gaultmillau.lu.
The latest edition of the restaurant guide included 34 new restaurants in Luxembourg.
They were endorsed after having been tested by anonymous restaurant testers.
