Well, probably not, but we're going to try our hardest anyway... Grab a piece of the crunchiest, healthiest radio feature in town!

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away and the new segment featured on The Home Stretch aims to do just that! Appropriately named "An Apple A Day", it focuses on health, well-being and looking after oneself.

Melissa welcomes industry experts who share tips, tricks and even personal stories about their journey into the health and wellness universe.

An Apple a Day offers the rare opportunity for listeners to gain valuable advice about their mental health, physical health and overall general well-being - without the price tag!

(Needless to say, any pressing health concerns should be raised with your doctor first. But for everything else, there's An Apple a Day!).

Horses and mindfulness

In the segment's debut, Melissa welcomed mindfulness teacher and equine facilitated learning practitioner Kate Ensor from Realise Coaching and Development.

Kate spoke to her own mindfulness journey, and how she now works alongside three four-legged friends who each have their own areas of expertise.

A horse lover since childhood, her move to Luxembourg created the unique opportunity to spend more time with horses, awakening to their teaching and healing capacity beyond being animals we enjoy riding.

In order to further her ability to help others, Kate has trained in Mindfulness-Based-Stress Reduction (MSBR) which has shown to benefit a range of physical and mental health challenges. In fact, Kate is currently taking registrations for an eight-week-long foundational course, which participants will be able to attend virtually starting on 8 December.

If you would like a sample of how Kate works, make sure to listen to the complete interview here or via the player below, as she walks us through a few moments of guided meditation.
