Looking for something to do Wednesday or Thursday? Head over to this groovy muzik festival.
Starting tomorrow the open air music festival, MeYouZik, will last two days, August 14-15. It will take place at the Place de Clairefontaine near the Notre Dame as well as Place Guillaume II, Place D'Armes and Rue St Esprit, so it will be easy access for those taking public transportation as well as those by car. The closest parking is the St Esprit but the website also lists their recommended spots. The whole event is free of charge to attend and there will be environmentally friendly food services, meaning they will use reusable containers.
The event is organised by the Luxembourg Tourist Office and the Ville de Luxembourg as well as many other partners and sponsors. It will feature international artists as well as highlighting various associations and NGOs. Starting the festival are Mamadou Diabate & Percussion Mania, a West African musician, and DJ Mukambo, a Belgium based Afro-Latin DJ. The two performances will start at 18:00 in Place Guillaume II and Holy Ghost Stage (Rue St Esprit), respectively.
The concerts will go all the way to midnight on the 15th, ending with Minyanta, a UK based collaborative project.
