This weekend, Luxembourg's Jazz musicians took centre stage at the fourth edition of the Luxembourg Jazz Meeting & Friends at Abbey Neumünster.
The festival was created as an opportunity for musicians from Luxembourg: to expand their audience and pave their way for a successful career abroad.
The non profit organisation Music:LX is one of the driving forces behind this movement.
Music:LX doesn't exclusively support Jazz musicians, but musicians with all kinds of musical backgrounds.
The non profit receives some financial support by the ministry for culture and Sacem Luxembourg, a society for the protection of copyright laws.
Music:LX provides four types of services: Support, information, networking and promotion.
The 25-year-old British and Luxembourgish Jazz musician Claire Parsons is one of the beneficiaries of Music:LX. She is a singer and writes her own material, has a Bachelor's degree in Jazz vocals and is currently working in her Master's degree. She was one of the acts at the Luxembourg Jazz Meeting & Friends at Abbey Neumünster this weekend.
Claire Parsons is only starting out in her promising career as a Jazz musician, and thanks to the help of Music:LX, she might be able to climb the ladder with a bit more ease.
