The Luxembourg Gaming Xperience (LGX) will be back on September 28 and 29 for its fourth edition. After the success of its three previous conventions, which were all held at the Casino2000 in Mondorf, the LGX is relocating to the much larger LuxExpo the Box on Kirchberg. At 6.400 m², this means more space for activities, tournaments and games!

Starting at 10am and ending at 18 PM, the event - organized by 11F, a leading gaming organization in Luxembourg - will feature fifteen Esport tournaments (multiplayer video games played competitively for spectators) with up to 15.000€ prizes for the first time in Luxembourg. These include ‘Fortnite’, ‘Clash Royale’, ‘Fifa 20’ and ‘Super Smash Bros Ultimate’ contests. But don’t worry, it’s not all competitive: the LGX has plenty of activities up its sleeve: Arcade and Retro Gaming, Board Games and Virtual Reality are just a few of those on the programme.

However, the main focus this year will be on ‘Gaming, Esport, New Tech, Geek Culture & Japan’, which introduce three new ‘universes’: Japan (Anime, Manga, figurines), Pop Culture (cinema, comics) and Fantasy World (Science Fiction, Fantasy, Cosplay village).

The idea for the LGX was born a few years back, when a couple of ‘Saturn’ employees who were passionate about video games decided to organise public eSport competitions. Soon, the contest gained popularity, and requests for a bigger event were coming left, right and centre. In 2016, the convention counted 2.500 visitors, an impressive feat to pull off for an entirely new event. Due to popular demand, organisers have made sure that the venue for the 2019 edition of the LGX is four times bigger than previous ones and more diverse than ever before.

Divided into four sets of activities, the full programme is as follows:

Gaming & Esport: 15 Esports Tournaments with up to 15.000€ Prizes. Freeplay, Arcade & Retro Gaming. Finals on stage and more...

New Technologies: Virtual Reality, Hardware, Expositions, Challenges, Special Guests and more...

Imaginary Worlds: Cosplay Contest, Artists, Workshops, Authors, Cosplayers, Board Games, Movies, Shows and more...

Japanese Culture: Expositions, Figures, Trading Card Games, Food & Drinks, Merch and more...

This 'must-go event' is free for kids of up to 10 years. Presale tickets (10€ for one, 15€ for both days) are available here.

Door sale is 12€ per day.
