A 25-year-old woman was killed Sunday by a falling tree in the Moselle department of France.

The fatal accident occurred near a cinema in Amnéville, around 30 minutes south of the Luxembourg border, on Sunday evening.

Strong gusts of wind ravaging the region caused the tree to fall, reports the Républicain Lorrain.

The young woman was killed instantly when the tree came crashing down. The incident occurred in the presence of her partner, who was treated for shock by emergency services at the scene.
