A caller on UK radio station LBS launched into an extraordinary rant about the EU, claiming Britain had been subjected to decisions made by the Grand Duchy.
LBC radio presenter James O'Brien was left baffled after a caller informed him that voters had opted to leave the EU because they were fed up with "principalities like Luxembourg telling us what to do" - news that will certainly come as a surprise to those living in the Grand Duchy.
The caller, Martin from Romford in Essex, an area which voted overwhelmingly to leave the European Union in 2016, repeated the oft-used mantra that Britain needed to take back control, making its own decisions rather than being told what to do by Luxembourg.
O'Brien questioned Martin several times on what exactly these decisions supposedly imposed by Luxembourg were, but the caller did not seem able to answer.
The caller went on to say that there would be no deal, but it would also be rushed through, as the EU did not want Britain to leave. He did not respond to O'Brien's statement that Britain had officially left the European Union in January this year, but instead claimed the bloc would "crumble" without the UK.
O'Brien ended the call by asking once more what the "worst decision" was that Luxembourg had made, to which Martin responded "I don't care".
