The Luxembourg public prosecutor's office said that a group of four young people had been arrested. The members are suspected of having taken part in robberies with aggression.

Ranging from theft with violence and threats in Esch-sur-Alzette to another attempted theft with violence in Kayl, the act these four minors are accused are far from trivial.

They were reported on Tuesday late afternoon by two complainants and resulted in the police launching a search which enabled to "identify and arrest a group of individuals".

Since the suspects are minors, the public prosecutor's office decided to place them in provisional custody in Dreiborn, in the closed unit of the State Socio-Educational Centre.

Due to a lack of space, only one of the four young people was actually placed there. The other three minors 'had to be placed in the semi-open part of the centre', the public prosecutor said.

The stolen objects were found and returned.
