As of 30 August, 53 cases of monkeypox had been detected in the Grand Duchy, said the Ministry of Health.

Three of the cases were reported over the past week. At present, all patients in Luxembourg are male, with an average age of 37.

Vaccination for people at risk started at the National Service for Infectious Diseases on 16 August 2022. As of 30 August, a total of 383 people have been vaccinated: 381 of them have received their first dose, while 3 received a second dose.
