As part of the "Moto 2022" road safety campaign, the Luxembourg police carried out checks on Friday between Echternach and Junglinster.
The police focussed their efforts on motorcyclists on Friday evening. For three hours, motorbikes passing on the N11 were pulled over and checked. In addition to speed, the equipment of the motorcyclist, the technical condition of the vehicle, and the documents were examined.
A total of 41 traffic offences were recorded. The speed limit on this road (90 km/h) was not observed by 31 motorcyclists, who were fined. In three cases, the licence was withdrawn, and a temporary driving ban was imposed.
In addition, several motorcyclists were caught using their smartphones and in five cases their documents were not in order.
