Around 3pm on Tuesday, an accident near a work site on rue de Larochette led to the death of a worker.
A digger was being offloaded from a container when the container door opened towards the road. A driver was unable to stop on time and hit the door, which slammed shut and hit a worker, severely injuring him.
After being treated on site by the emergency responders, the 45-year-old man was and flown to hospital, where sadly he died of his injuries.
The driver of the car was under shock and received psychological care. She was also taken to hospital.
The measuring and identification service was sent to the site and an autopsy requested. The ITM was also informed. The N14 was closed to traffic for an extended time.
