According to several sources, photos of the answer key for the final year history exam have been leaked and circulating since Thursday.
Lex Folscheid told RTL that the Ministry of Education only learned the news on Friday. The exam having taken place on Wednesday, the ministry assumes that the photos were only taken after the students had taken the exam.
Folscheid speculated that the copy of the answer key may have been obtained from a bin.
There is no evidence that the photos were circulated before the exam, so the students should not worry about it for the moment, said Folscheid. He reassured students that the exam they took has not lost its validity.
The envelope containing the answer key and the questions is opened on the day of the exam. The invigilators present can use it if questions are asked on an ad hoc basis in order to guide the students.
The Ministry of Education is in contact with the Conférence Nationale des Élèves du Luxembourg (Cnel) and the Conférence Générale de la Jeunesse du Luxembourg (CGJL).
