Six new petitions are open for signatures on the website of the Chamber of Deputies, covering a range of issues from fireworks and parental leave to shop opening hours.
The petitions will have to gather at least 4,500 signatures by 30 June in order to be publicly debated in the Chamber of Deputies.
One petitioner calls for a total ban on fireworks across the country.
Another petition requests that essential shops' opening hours be extended, while a third petition requests that parental leave be extended to nine months.
Many areas are addressed, such as health, with a petition proposing to ramp up efforts to shorten the waiting times for mammograms.
Mobility is also highlighted with the request to increase the number of traffic lanes reserved for buses in the vicinity of the central railway station in Luxembourg City. Another petition deals with professional life and demands the revaluation of the title of master craftsman.
The petitions can be found on the petitions.lu website.
A petition recently submitted and validated on the Chamber of Deputies' official website concerning the reimbursement of bills for psychologist sessions has already reached this threshold, although it still has 21 days to do so.
