Some 23,000 pupils in primary and secondary schools took standardised tests to measure their progress through two years of Covid-stricken education.

Despite the pandemic, the test results revealed no significant deterioration in the students' education, said Minister Claude Meisch on Thursday.

One finding that was discovered in previous standardises tests, however, is that a pupil's socio-economic and linguistic background continues to play a crucial role in their school results. This should be counteracted, among other things, by the diversification of school offerings, said the minister in a press conference.
