A drunk driver crashed into a parked car on rue Pierre Gansen in Niederkorn at around 7.15 p.m on Tuesday.
The driver ended up trapped in his car and had to be rescued and was taken to hospital with light injuries. First responders and an ambulance from Bascharage and Pétange were on site.
An alcohol test wasn't possible according to police, but the driver showed clear signs of inebriation, so a blood test was taken.
Around the same time in Belvaux, some hedges caught fire. The flames were put out by the fire brigades of Sanem, Differdange and Esch-sur-Alzette.
