The Prime Minister specified this in his reply to a parliamentary question by MP Nathalie Oberweis from the Left Party ('Déi Lénk').
The money is meant to support the work of the United Nations, the International Red Cross, as well as several Luxembourg-based NGOs hosting Ukrainian refugees in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Moldova). Luxembourg has also provided equipment allowing for the mobile, satellite-based, telecommunications platform emergency.lu to be used in Ukraine. The Grand Duchy has also organised training sessions on the installation and use of satellite antennas.
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) has also provided material contributions in the form of more than 50 tonnes of fire-fighting equipment as well as medical supplies and medicines. In his reply, the Prime Minister also mentioned an unspecified military assistance that Luxembourg has provided to Ukraine.
