Minister for Family Affairs Corinne Cahen confirmed Thursday that coronavirus cases in retirement and nursing homes are falling.
150 residents of retirement homes are currently infected with the coronavirus, a 30% decrease compared to the previous week.
Most have little to no symptoms.
Nine residents of retirement homes have tested positive but are in hospital for other health issues.
61 people who have tested positive for Covid-19 are receiving treatment at home, a 40% decrease compared to the previous week.
