On Wednesday, the Christian Social People's Party (CSV) proposed several measures against rising energy prices.
The government contents itself with simply watching the price explosion and doing nothing, the opposition party criticised.

The CSV proposes four concrete measures. Firstly, the kilometre allowance, i.e., the tax benefit for commuting, should be increased from €99 per kilometre to €125.
In addition, the CSV is calling for the kilometre allowance in the civil service to be increased by 30 to 40 cents.
The biggest opposition party is also calling for a temporary cap on heating oil and gas prices.
Finally, the CSV proposes that access to the cost-of-living allowance should no longer be calculated on the basis of the social minimum wage, but on the basis of the minimum wage for skilled workers.
