MPs will have to vote on the new budget proposition as well as the new Covid laws.
Dan Biancalana from the Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party (LSAP) will be the first to speak as he is in charge of overseeing the budget.
With the help of his party colleagues, he has reviewed the entire document since its original deposition on 12 October. Furthermore, the National Council for Public Finances reviewed the document and assessed that the pension system could give rise to problems if not tackled in time.
Even if Luxembourg has prevailed over the pandemic without taking a significant financial hit, the Chamber of Commerce remains concerned about the rising inflation and energy prices.
The State Council also reviewed the document and expressed its satisfaction over the "impressive" 9% increase in government spending, made possible through the creation of 2,300 new jobs.
Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna will conduct his final speeches over the course of the year, as he will step down and make room for Yuriko Backes at the beginning of January.
Unsurprisingly, the housing crisis is also expected to become a critical point of contention in the Chamber this week. The Chamber of Employment, for instance, has already emphasised that there is a misbalance in terms of priorities: €255 million for housing and €610 million for public transport.
