For reasons still unknown, the staff member attacked the former employee of the restaurant with a kitchen knife, seriously injuring their hand. Despite being injured, the employee managed to subdue their attacker before the police arrived at the scene.
On site officers immobilised the visibly angry employee before taking them away on the orders of the public prosecutor. The culprit was presented to an examining magistrate on Tuesday morning, while the knife was seized by the authorities.
The police bulletin further described two police interventions on Monday.
On Monday night, a man contacted the police shortly before midnight, stating that he had been robbed by two individuals he had given a lift in his car. When police arrived on the parking on the A3 motorway, the caller was still there. He immediately told the officers that he had consumed both alcohol and drugs, was not in possession of a driving licence, and that his car was not adequately registered and insured. All of the information was quickly confirmed by the police after a number of checks.
The man also handed over a pellet of cocaine as well as a pellet of a different narcotic substance to the officers. The public prosecutor’s office was informed of the incident and subsequently ordered the seizure of the drugs and the car. The man was taken to hospital for a check-up and an official complaint was filed.
Shortly before 11 pm on Monday evening, a man and his passenger were caught in possession of drugs and an illegal weapon during a police check on Avenue Gordon Smith in Colmar-Berg. The driver also tested positive for drug use and had to submit to further tests at the hospital. A complaint was filed for both a traffic code violation and violations against the laws on drugs and possession of illegal weapons.
