RTL Today - Public service: No increases in salary, but improvements of work quality

On Thursday, the government and the civil servants union CGFP signed a new salary agreement.

Both parties agree that the health crisis represents a challenge of unprecedented dimensions and that extraordinary measures still need to be taken.

Although a number of incoherences will be removed from the regulations until June 2022, no existing mechanisms will be changed under the new salary agreement.

The last time public servants were awarded a salary upgrade was in 2016.
