Both non-profit organisations have been working together for nine years, collecting clothes on a regular basis from private donors.

Even though the organisations were happy to receive an entire van filled with donations, they have to underline that they and the people they represent should not be treated as "garbage". In a press release issued on Monday, representatives said that they sometimes get clothes that are in bad condition, extremely dirty, or even smell of urine.

The statement thus issued an appeal to people to be both mindful and respectful when picking out clothes to donate, so that comparable incidents may be avoided in the future. The organisations also stated that more donations are always welcome and much needed, especially at the "Kleederstuff", 32 Grand Rue in Esch, and 7 rue de la Fonderie in Hollerich.
