The police initially stopped the car for technical issues, but soon discovered the illegal substances and arms.

The police stopped the car in Dudelange around 5 p.m. on Sunday, as the front windows were illegally toned. The driver then pulled out a knife in an attempt to remove the foil, which the officers confiscated. Upon further investigation, they discovered four more knives, a baton, 13 grams of hashish, 15 grams of marijuana, as well as a half-smoked joint. The drug flash test came back positive and the driver was subsequently brought to the hospital for a blood test.

The police also had to revoke three licenses on Sunday evening, all following incidents of drunk driving. The first one occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on the A13 motorway near Kayl, a vehicle catching the attention of the police for reckless driving. The second driver was caught shortly before 11 p.m. on the CR310 near Bigonville after almost causing two accidents. The final culprit was stopped in the capital, but the driver refused to take an alcohol test. The police thus also revoked her license.
